Transfromations are great. Adjustments are more valuable.

We are hitting the point where the “New Year, New Me” vibes are wearing off. Maybe you set some massive goals for yourself in fitness, disciplines or growth and it’s going … poorly. Let me offer a few words of encouragement on massive transformations.

Yes, they happen. They are incredible seeing the mileage covered going from A to Z. But for the majority, they quit, fall short and the the disappointment (even shame spiral) kicks in and it’s all too familiar. To master a transformation in any area, you have to become a student of the moment. Adjustments are the unsung hero in so many ways.

What’s the friction point keeping you from doing what you said you were going to do? Acknowledge, Adjust, and get back at it. The more you can minimize downtime and just keep adjusting, good things will happen as a result of that consistency.

Women share with me most frequently that the grand plans and changes they want to see in their lives. It becomes all too overwhelming and as a result, nothing changes.

Get dialed in on the basics. It sounds silly but, prioritize drinking water, getting quality sleep, relentlessly focusing on gratitude in your life and finally do what you say you’re going to do.

“But Megs, I want to do XYZ…” Yeah, I got that. I even support it. But if you’re having trouble generating momentum, get the basics right consistently. Adjust from there for your goals. Simplistic but seismic in action.
